Jade is definitely showing her canine senses now though, so, that's cool. Maybe the Horrorterrors are trying to take down Lord English with the Condensce. While she seems to suggest that she is working for the Condensce, the appearance of Grimdarkness again suggests the Horrorterrors are also involved. However, I gotta question whose side she is on. Jade: Unlike Jane, I think Jade is just purely evil. (Toko13's pick for best character of act.) In a way it's horrifying, but, in another it's empowering to see her this way. Even though we are led to believe that this is just Jane being mind-controlled by the Condensce, I really got to say that this is the embodiment of everything Jane wanted to do, but, was held back by how she thought people would think of her. And she straight up kills Karkat and then revives him for the hell of it. Instead of pining for Jake, she's commanding him around. She still has emotions but they are completely twisted up inside of her. Jane: Jane self-describes herself as a being of pure logic now, but, I don't really think that's true. I don't know how he is the only one who remembers the initial meeting of the Beta Kids/Trolls, but, I'm almost certain it has something to do with John messing up the timeline. I'm interesting in seeing how John abilities can alter this session in the future. Not having the Ring of Life/Void? (Hussie's Ring) is interesting, because it suggests that someone has probably already taken it. Interestingly, John's "windy thing" seems to be able to get rid of the shitiness factor in conversations and panels. I still don't know if the Zapping ability is part of his Heir of Breath powers or a more temporary power bestowed by the house juju thingy. And hey, he not only gets to see Karkat die, but, also changes Dave and Jade's interaction and talks with Roxy. John: John spends most of the intermission Zapping around the Scratch session. I also noticed that all the continue arrows now have 8 equal signs instead of 4 which is a nice touch. My favorite flash goes to the opening flash for A66 Intermission 1.

Mechanically speaking, while we did get the character select screen again, it really didn't do that much overall. Overall, this act/section/thingy was very cool and I hope to see more in the future of Act 6. (Thanks Caliborn.) The shittiness factor of the comic by Caliborn is fascinating all among itself. John continued to hone his zappy skills, and the character select screen, while impressive looking, was sorely lacking. Even though they are under the influence of the Condensce, I feel they able to be more brutally honest about their feelings. That part of the section aside, I really enjoyed seeing Grimdark Jade and Crocker Jane in action. Other than the fact that it was completely masturbatory for Caliborn and in turn Hussie, if I was to grade it out of five hats, I'd give it: Honestly, I had no idea Caliborn had it in him to make an entire act. REMEMBER THAT PROMISE YOU MADE TO HAVE A ZILLION KIDS?Īnalysis: Homosuck took me as a surprise.
